The cycle of bitterness

Bitterness has roots. Forgiveness is the shovel that digs up the root of bitterness. Bitterness begins as a spark and turns into a raging fire. Bitter people don't intend to burn down everything in their path, but the two options are bitterness or forgiveness.

This clip is excerpted from the sermon "I Am Forgiven," the twelfth part of our sermon series Ephesians: Who Do You Think You Are? It was preached by Pastor Mark Driscoll out of Ephesians 4:25--32 at Mars Hill Downtown Bellevue and released on April 7.

Becoming All Things to All People (1 Corinthians 9) John MacArthur

The primary purpose of Paul's not taking full advantage of his Christian liberty was that [he] might win the more. He deeply believed that "he who is wise wins souls" (Prov. 11:30) and was willing to do anything and to sacrifice anything to win people to Jesus Christ. As far as his rights were concerned he was free from all men, but because of his love for all men he would gladly limit those rights for their sakes. He had, figuratively, become a slave to all. He would modify his habits, his preferences, his entire life--style if any of those things caused someone to stumble, to be offended, or to be hindered from faith in the Lord....

Atheists are Equivocating Nothing with Something in Physics - Rice Broocks, PhD

Atheists have grown incredibly irrational in their desperate attempt to disprove God. Atheists (like Lawrence Krauss and his mindless and gullible fans) have embraced the idea that literally nothing can do something in the subatomic level, like create the universe. Somehow, they forget that nothing is nothing; hence, it can't do anything. Rice Broocks shows how atheists are actually talking about the quantum vacuum, which is actually something. So, it can't be nothing. Ergo, atheists are guilty of the fallacy of equivocating by suggesting something (the quantum vacuum energy) with nothing.
