Actually being born again means being born from above. Its the word ana in the Greek and it means up. In John 1:12-13 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

We are not born when we receive Jesus but we have the "right" to be become children of God, to those who believe in Hi name. But its those who are born of God. Jesus talks all about birth in John 3.

Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?" Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. "Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

To be born again it is by WATER and the SPIRIT. If we don't do this, we can not enter or see the kingdom of God. And if we are born of God, that would make us sons of God.

Romans 8:14 - For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

And there is only ONE way to receive the Spirit of God.

Acts 2:38!
