AGE OF PROTECTION bill PASSED by pARLIAMENTARY Committee

THE EFC UPDATE - 2007.04.24 Together for influence, impact and identity The Justice Committee of the House of Commons passed Bill C-22 (Age of Protection), as amended, on April 19. If passed into law, Bill C-22 will make it illegal for anyone five years or older than a 14 or 15- year old youth to engage in sexual activity with that teen, unless the two are married. The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) made presentations to the Committee and was present at every hearing on this Bill. Bill C-22 now goes to the House for Report Stage and Third Reading.
