Counseling and Lust

posted by Wayne Shih @ http://acts18910.blogspot.com/

Generally speaking, when it comes to the kind of counseling I've been focused on (i.e., in everyday relationships), it should be men helping men, and women helping women. But that rule is especially important in issues involving sexuality and intimacy.Whether it is our own struggle with lust or helping a friend who confides in us (perhaps in an accountability group), I would recommend Josh Harris' book Sex Is Not the Problem (Lust Is). In addition, he has some good material on his blog dealing with the issue of lust. For example, he posts an article by Alan P. Medinger called Grateful Heart: An Antidote to Lust.Harris has also posted some "tips" from his book on resisting internet pornography.
