How About Maalox Presbyterian Church? Or Lays Sour Cream and Onion Assembly of God Church? Product placement in the pews is the latest trend that fully demonstrates the depths to which the evangelical church has sunk. I really believe we will see a time when the backs of stall doors in restrooms and perhaps even the floors will contain advertising for products. With 30 million Americans identifying as Christians, just imagine the possibilities. Obtaining the naming rights for some of these jumbo churches might even turn into bidding wars with prices skyrocketing for advertisers. Jumbotron screens in these "churches" could have Pepsi or Dr. Pepper emblazoned on the front. Having said this, I am certain that somewhere, some church is actually already doing this. Here's an article that describes just how bad things are getting.
